During the Fourth Annual Declare World Peace Celebration of Global Music, Dance, and Poetry, in observance of 9/11, artists create and hold a space of love, respect, tolerance, safety, and positive change, supported in part by a grant from the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs. Co-sponsors are Dallas Peace and Justice Center and Unity of Dallas.
This multicultural concert features the critically acclaimed Indo-jazz-world fusion project Sangeet Millennium Ensemble , with members from Dallas, Austin, India and Pakistan, collaborating with the Art Nomadic collective, music from Islamic world by the Jamal Mohamed Trio , the Cuban Jazz Project, and more.
Parallel Universe explores the setting of an ‘Intimate Space Atmosphere’ through Juxtaposition of multi-media artists collaboration, and Integration of their creative elements.Hosted by Ginger Fox Gallery in Dallas, Texas with photography by Atali Samuel Photography
Numerous open mic events at Svatantrya, in Denton, Texas include live
music and poetry by North Texas creatives, also featuring a Day in the Life of Denton, with co-producer, James King. Vegan tapas catered The Bad Vegan.
Events include community gardening, family friendly painting workshops, Ecstatic Dance , Stained Glass with Natasha Keshishian, Sacred Geometry with Matt Anzak, and Ayurvedic Nutrition and Self-Care with Dr. Dhanada Kulkarni.
